I have been a volunteer with Heidi's Legacy for more than 5 years. They have taken in the most sick and broken dogs that no other rescue would touch. They have spent thousands of dollars on a dog and in turn ask for the adoption donation of a few hundred bucks. There is no profit. There is no such thing as doing rescue for money. Heidi's Legacy has always been about the dogs. They have helped other rescues with medications, shared food, shared Fosters, paid transporters. This rescue is fostered based. The dogs are loved, vetted, and match to a home that best meets their personality. I am still a volunteer and stand by this amazing rescue for all they do.
