the number of migrating whooping cranes in the flyway east of the Mississippi River that now total 84 starting from zero eight years ago. This could not have been accomplished without their role in the Whooping Crane Eastern Partnership project.

exceptional for their enthusiasm, knowledge, and foresight. They cooperate fully with each other, willingly stepping in to help out wherever help is needed.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
add to overworked staff, both in the office and in the field. It would have funding for more of the costly state-of-the-art instrumentation required.
Ways to make it better...
only I was located closer to them to be able to offer more hands-on help.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
fundraising, finding new qualified staff, providing more safeguards for the birds while they areon their first ultralight-led migration.
One thing I'd also say is that...
meeting and getting to know Operation Migration staff personally has been one the outstanding pleasures of my life.
