My husband and I are so impressed with Plant With Purpose and support them every year! They do an amazing job of reaching out to communities in need to help them improve their farming practices and introduce new effective techniques, including teaching them how to reforest their land to replenish the soil and control erosion. Even more importantly, they empower these remote communities by helping them create their own community based savings and loan programs. All of these efforts move the communities to not only be successful, but also to be independent. I was blessed this year to be able to visit one of the communities near Oaxaca and came away so energized by the progress of the community and the pride and ownership of its members. Plant With purpose embodies all a true philanthropy should be!
