There are lots of charities that help someone when they are homeless; shelters, soup kitchens etc. But almost none are focused on helping veterans avoid becoming homeless in the first place. That is what Saving Veterans Homes is all about. It is much more costly to take care of someone when they are homeless than it takes to keep them from becoming homeless. And when someone is homeless they are subject to more danger by being on the streets and subjected to more physical and mental health issues. A veteran should never be homeless in America.
