I have been interested in natural history, conservation and in particular birds, for most of my 82 years. I pursue that interest by active birding. There are many organizations that support my interests and I have been a member of several for years. However, a few years ago I concluded that my annual memberships were spread widely and that it made sense to concentrate the support where it would make a significant difference. After carefully evaluating the options it is clear to me that ABC has the highest ROI for my dollars and efforts. What appeals to me is the clarity of their objectives and strategies, what they have accomplished, the leverage on their investments that they achieve and ABC's low overhead.
