I am a coronary artery by pass surgery survivor. Following my surgery I was visited and given a heart pillow by an accredited Mended Hearts visitor. That visit opened the door to a long term relationship with Mended Hearts. I joined my local Mended Hearts chapter shortly after surgery and have been an active member since that time. I credit Mended Hearts for helping me stay heart healthy through the ongoing support and heart health education they provide. I am now an accredited Mended Hearts visitor and have the opportunity to offer other heart patients the same kind of support and education opportunities that i received.
