Review for Youth Science Center, Hacienda Heights, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

The Youth Science Center is a superb organization with quality programs that proves science can be fun for youngsters. I hope the YSC is able to form new partnerships in the future with surrounding school districts to help fill in the gaps that were left when our leaders in Sacramento gutted education funding.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

their outreach to our local school districts, and their work with specific schools. They really have quality programs with excellent instruction. They really have a knack for making science fun and accessible.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Find a way to get more funding to this organization so they can expand their good work in our community. We have a serious shortage of good programs like this, especially given the severe cuts to public education.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the quality and variety of programs for kids.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

knowledgeable and engaging.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

expand it's operations throughout the San Gabriel Valley to assist Districts with science instruction programs.

Ways to make it better...

the programs were longer in duration (which costs money).

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Financial, to support programs, and perhaps to begin paying instructors to continue to attract good people.

One thing I'd also say is that...

This is a community organization that serves our kids. There is nothing more noble and worthwhile than that!

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every month
