My husband & I are birders. We of course enjoy spotting birds, but we also consider birds key indicators of healthy ecosystems, which are ultimately critical to everyone's health.

American Bird Conservancy is an organization which has my utmost respect, as it focuses like a laser on issues affecting birds, such as identifying, preserving, restoring habitat along migration routes of endangered birds species. On broader front, ABC also works on key issues that are decimating bird populations: outdoor cats, wind turbines, collisions with glass windows, as well as critical legislative issues.
When I have met ABC personnel, I invariably come away impressed by their personal dedication to the work, their intense focus & work ethic, and the team spirit that moves this org forward. ABC is results-oriented, with impact throughout extending through North, Central, and South America.
ABC consistently earns 4-Star rating from Charity Navigator. As a donor, I am confident that my donations have a role in the impact that ABC is having on birds and ecosystems.
