Review for Rural Orphans & Widows Aids Network , Kremmling, CO, USA
I volunteer with this organization and have been able to experience, first hand, how much it is doing to personally affect the everyday lives of orphans and widows living in a very remote part of Sub-Saharan Africa who have been affected by AIDS. They are learning how to sustain themselves and become active members of their community, and getting some much-needed supplies and support in the process. Every person on the ROWAN team has a heart for the people. The founder, Paul Nyende, is the best of men; the co-founder, Kelsey Young, is an amazing young woman with an incomparable drive and spirit for the women and children; and the other volunteers who head up the organization are all people I would call friends. Honestly, I couldn't dream up a better organization.

witnessing little Tabitha, who had lost her father to AIDS just two weeks before, smile at a balloon animal, and watching the widows, who bear so many burdens, light up at learning how to read.
