Review for West Valley Community Services, Cupertino, CA, USA
For the past six years I have had the pleasure of serving on the Board of WVCS. I can truly say that it has been one of the most rewarding times of my life. Having the opportunity to see the impact we have on the local communities is truly amazing. The Bay Area is a difficult place to survive in if you are struggling to make ends meet. Our executive Director Sujatha Venkatraman and her dedicated team fill a void in folks lives and help them regain their confidence all while treating them with dignity and kindness. This year WVCS is celebrating serving our community for 50 years. Please join us in our efforts to combat hunger and homelessness in the West Valley.

For the past three years I have had the pleasure of working as a volunteer and Board Member for West Valley Community Services. I am so proud of the work we do. It is very rewarding to be part of a group that is serving the most vulnerable in our community who are in dire need during these extremely trying times. The Executive Director Josh Selo and his dedicated team of professionals have been so agile in revamping their services with the outbreak of Covid 19. They have not missed a beat while serving over twice as many clients in the past six months. They continue to serve them all with dignity and compassion and meet the ever-growing needs of people in our service area by delivering nutritious fresh food and low-income housing alternatives. West Valley is your place to go if you need assistance. Their dedicated team will help you navigate through the rough waters. The need continues to be great. So, if you are looking for a way to help out please donate today. With gratitude to the dedicated team and community.

For the past two and a half I have had the pleasure of working as a volunteer and Board Member for West Valley Community Services. While, Silicon Valley is a very affluent area there are still many people who struggle to make ends meet. WVCS is there to lend a helping hand. They assist by providing nutritious fresh food from their pantry, by providing low income housing alternatives, by providing very low cost rides for seniors to health and other appointments. There are also additional programs in which we reach out to the community through our Back to school shopping drive and Gift of Hope during the holidays. Our mobile food pantry and case workers go to the more remote areas of our service area when folks can not come to our main location.
The Executive Director Josh Selo and his dedicated team of professionals make sure that all of the clients are treated with respect, dignity and compassion. They have really raised the general awareness of West Valley Community Services in our service area. While working with this wonderful WVCS team and volunteers I can certainly say I have been blessed to be a part in making our community and world a better place. For that I am very grateful.
