A real gem of a historic museum as well as a vital non-profit still carrying out Pearl S. Buck's advocacies. The property is a gardener's dream, with beautiful landscaping and vistas. The tours of the house include the recently launched advocacy-oriented one as well as the historical/life of PSB one. Take your pick and you will thoroughly enjoy either one. The docents are highly trained individuals who are clearly admirers of PSB and aligned with her causes. Top off your visit with a trip to the gift shop which features unique clothing, jewelry and decorative items. A big draw each year is also the Festival of Trees and a juried holiday craft show. Expect to spend at least two hours during your visit...but you'll actually want to linger longer. The friendly staff can suggest locations for lunch or dinner, depending on the time of your trip. Become a member and you can enjoy the grounds and tours all year long, as well as special members only events.
