Review for Youth Science Center, Hacienda Heights, CA, USA
Our family has been involved with YSC since my son was in kindergaten. I can not say enough good things about the program. The teachers that YSC selects, all have a passion for science and their love for science is evident in the classroom. I have always volunteered throughout the entire class time in my childs classes so I have the first hand privilege of observation. There are so many different areas of science that YSC exposes children to, and the teachers stretch the minds and imaginations of these children. This program is by far the best that we have been involved with. The individualized attention of the teachers is amazing. Over the years, my son has developed special relationships with the teachers, and I know the concepts taught at YSC have influenced his life long learning.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
My son was able to teach a boy scout troop rocket safety class with praise from his adult leaders regarding his knowledge and communication of information to his fellow scouts. I know his success in presentation was a direct result of the teaching at YSC.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Allow them to expand their facilities to reach more children.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
The depth of teaching they give the children to help them explore and expand their imagination and thinking.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
The teaching staff are specialists in science and have a love and passion for the different areas of science that they teach. That passion translates into an amazing presentation of science to youth.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Expand their program to more areas. Increase their classes and teaching staff.
Ways to make it better...
YSC was closer to my home. I commuted a total of one hour every day for my son to be involved in this program. It was worth it and I would definatedly make the drive again, the program is that good!
