I had gone to Ghana with an instructor and two other students from RIT - a university in New York State. As soon as I arrived with the two other students, two individuals from Point Hope were there waiting for us. They helped us carry our luggage and they drove us back to the Point Hope house. We were able to stay in the guest house for the two days we would be in the area and everyone was so nice and welcoming. They even prepared amazing meals for us while we were staying. One of the members of Point Hope stayed with us throughout our trip, putting his life at hold to drive us to our interviews and other various destinations. I am so grateful for Point Hope. This organization allowed us to accomplish things, that otherwise would have been undoable.
