Review for PROJECT HOPE FOUNDATION INC, Greenville, SC, USA
Project Hope gives OUR family Hope!!! Autism's prevalence has now increased to 1 in 59 births. Another statistic: 2 out of my 2 kids have it! Project Hope Foundation is a non-profit operation hosting an umbrella of many different services for autism. Our beautiful teen daughter Ally has been going to school at the Hope Alive Junior program for the last two years in Woodruff, SC. It was the best decision we ever made! She has a safe place to go each weekday where important life skills are worked on in a small setting. The ratio is 1:1 with wonderful therapists who treat her with kindness and respect. Most importantly, SHE LOVES IT! In the last 2 years we have seen her transform like a butterfly from a frustrated child who was often in “fight or flight mode” to much more confident, flexible, patient and joyful girl! That makes our whole family happy! Like the cliche’ goes, “If Miss Ally ain’t happy, no one is happy!” But that’s not all! Our handsome son Rion who is now a full-time college student has been involved in other areas of Project Hope Foundation. He has been on social outings with some of the Hope Alive group (young adult group) and has even worked a short-term job by filling tee-shirt orders via PHF’s affiliated company, Big Brain Staffing. It is so hard to find wonderful opportunities for our spectrum kids… but Project Hope strives to make it happen. They offer schools, therapy, parent support and much more…while constantly looking into the future for an improvement of services. We are so thankful for everything Project Hope Foundation has done for us and the entire community!!!
