Earlier this year, just months after first adopting her, I noticed a small lump on my cat Leyla’s neck. I was told by her vet, Banfield, that it was not something I should worry about – probably just a blocked salivia gland. They drained it, but the lump came back, this time bigger. I was referred to a surgeon, who believes the lump is actually a cyst, and will be operating on her Monday, Oct. 29. The surgery is going to cost me over $2,000.
