I completed a one week stay at Hospital Bernard Mevs in May 2018. From the moment I decided to follow through with this medical mission I felt thoroughly supported by the team at Project Medishare. Fundraising was made easier through their donation page and instructions on how what to expect when in Haiti was accurate.
While in Haiti, we always felt safe. The lodging was very comfortable and the catered food provided on a daily basis (breakfast and lunch) was delicious. The team at the hospital were helpful, knowledgeable and professional. I did some work at the wound care unit, the ER and pediatrics. All departments provided an interesting experience. I would love the opportunity to return to Haiti to complete another mission. I am incredibly grateful to have been a part of such an amazing organization and participate in a mission of providing care to those that need it most.
