Beauty Haven Farm and Equine Rescue is a Place for 2nd chances not only for the animals but the People who take care of them. Once they go thru the gate they KNOW they are safe now and Theresa and Bob and the Volunteers that tirelessly work there make sure they never know hunger , fear or abuse and neglect again. No stone is left unturned once they enter the property They go above and beyond to ensure they get the best of care and love. I started out volunteering hands on for many years and learned so much about the rehabilitation of horses that are neglected so long . They amount of care needed once they get beyond a certain point of starvation is very time consuming and expensive to bring them back from the " brink of death" . This experience brought me to a new adventure of reporting abuse and neglect cases to the authorities and following up to be sure they "DO their Job" and get the animal the help it needs. Just because you call in an animal abuse situation, NEVER assume they are handling it. I Learned that at Beauty Haven we first hand would see an animal deteriorate from time of 1st call to time the were finally surrendered to the Rescue. I have seen many " so called rescues" that do a horrible Job and abuse the word " Rescue"" Beauty Haven is a Class A PLACE THEY WORK TIRELESSLY ROUND THE CLOCK MANY MANY TIMES to save an animal be it a horse, cow bird kitten goat, Theresa and Bob and the Village of supporters are amazing. They are dedicated for whatever it takes. many have been picked up in the back seat of the mini van and taken to the rescue.!

Beautyhaven is really the place where abused horses and other animals get to begin life again no one is to bad to be saved beautyhaven does not give up until the horse says it's time to give up most horses that come through there know that they are in a safe place and the bad things that happened to them is behind them they get to know love and care even if it's only for a short time or for the rest of their life this is truly a great non-profit when you go through the gates of beautyhaven they just know they are safe.The volunteers make up the village Theresa and Bob need to make it all Happen and the supporters and Grants and Great animal Organizations that help them Care financially for their care is all what makes The Rescue work and save so many that have given up Hope and by saving the Animals It gives Humans Hope that One animal soul can save so many human souls

Beauty Haven is Home to so many horses that were the worst of the worst where no one even thought they could possibly live thru what has been done to them. I have to admit there were quite i few that I said to myself My Goodness how do these Poor HOrses endure the pain of what was done to them. But Theresa and the Volunteers Never Give Up . THis truly is not only a Safe Haven for the abused but HEAVEN . though i dont get to be hands on volunteer any more due to work and TIme shortage . Its so true that it takes a Village to raise just one. and Her crew of Volunteers are dedicated Hard working,! Its tiring endless dedication with little time for relaxation for theresa and the crew. Please if you see your neighbors animals being abused, and starve DONT WAIT FOR SOMEONE ELSE TO CALL. !!! pick up the phone call the authorities and keep on calling them if you have to. !!

Beauty Haven truly is a great new start for all the horses that enter thru those gates. THey all work tirelessly and many round the clock when there is a bad situation horses have human care thru the night if called for . Slings are a common thing where the worse of the worse that no one thought would ever make it . are cared for round the clock for weeks till they are strong enough. Beauty Haven is a true rescue rehab and its HOME for the horses Always.!! They never give up! and belive no matter how hopeless the situation , they all get a chance to LIve Again. Some wont make it but they are always treated with love and dignity on their last days. THey know love before they Cross Over.. GREAT JOB BEAUTY HAVEN AND THE VOLUNTEERS THAT KEEP IT GOING.!

A friend told me of Beauty Haven Equine Rescue over 1 year ago. I got on the website and read a story of Zanyah a malnourished arabian mare that was left in a pasture to die after her knees had given out from a 300 lbs man galloping her across the pasture. My heart went out to her and they were asking for donations to help! I knew i had to help. My friend took me there and I have been a volunteer ever since. The Batchelor family that runs the rescue and the small staff dedicated staff of volunteers truly care about every horse that comes thru the rescue. Theresa does not skimp on medical,nutritional, hoofcare,dental,whatever needs to be done to rehabilitate every horse. She will find a way to get it done. Theresa knows no limits to helping all horses.If she hears of a horse in need, she won't rest till she does her best to get that horse help. There are just too many that need help and its discouraging to know that you cant help them all. Beauty's Haven is truly a blessed place. All the horses that are brought to this rescue just know that once they are here they are safe and will never know hunger or abuse again. Truly you can see the light return in their eyes and the relief in their hearts that they will know love and caring and never go another day hungryor beaten. Some are just too far gone when they arrive and if there is no hope they will cross "" RAINBOW BRIDGE"" knowing their last days were filled with love and they will cross with dignity. All horses are evaluated by the veternarian when they arrive, their teeth and hooves are attended too and a refeeding program is started to slowly put on weight if they need it. So you can just imagine the costs of treating 30 plus horse and the time involved. Theresa runs on very little sleep and her family has dedicated their lives to helping these horse and she depends on the volunteers and the wonderful people who donate to this cause. The horses deserve a 2nd chance and it is truly amazing to see them trust humans again after they have been so abused by humans. To sum it up :: Going thru the Gates to Beauty's Haven Equine Rescue is probably what it feels like to have died and Gone to Heaven for these horses and you really see they way the other horses at the rescue let them know that they are safe now.
