our quilt group started making quilts for the kids. Once I visited the camp and interacted with them and the volunteers, I was hooked. These kids have been through so much but they still have such strong and giving spirits that they are my heroes. I volunteered as a nurse for about seven years and last year switched to the supervisor role. I loved being out with the kids all day. I have never experienced a program with such giving volunteers including the companions. They are with those kids 24/7 and they do it with smiles on their faces. These young people make me proud and I know they will continue to make a huge positive contribution to our world, when people ask me about my week at Camp Quality I simply say, it’s the best week all year. I leave filled up with hope and joy and blessed beyond measure.
