Review for MindLeaps, New York, NY, USA
MindLeaps has been an important part of my life for about three years. I came across MindLeaps while looking for amazing entrepreneurial women to speak on a panel event I was helping produce at the time. Rebecca (Director) graciously accepted to speak on that panel, and after hearing her speak I felt inspired and compelled to volunteer to contribute to MindLeap's incredible work. Eleanor (Assistant Director) is such a special person because she takes the time to understand what a volunteer's talents are, and place that volunteer with projects that will help them not only positively contribute to MindLeaps, but also grow as an individual in the process. I mentioned to Eleanor that I studied abroad in Guinea and that I loved reading/writing in French, so Eleanor asked me to help translate French articles/blog posts from the Guinea MindLeaps office. I felt so lucky to be given the chance to help as a volunteer with such an important task. I hope one day to travel back to Guinea, this time with MindLeaps as a volunteer. The dedicated, hardworking ethic of the MindLeaps team and their genuine care for their powerful mission are the characteristics that makes MindLeaps one of the best non-profits I have ever had the honor to connect with.
