Review for Good Shepherd Gracenter, San Francisco, CA, USA
Gracenter is one of the City's hidden treasures. For over 85 years, the Sisters of the Good Shepherd have been helping women, without resources, rebuild their lives and begin journeys of peace, hard work and sobriety. I've been involved with Gracenter for over seven years and it has been one of the best decisions of my life. After adopting a little girl, whose parents were not able to raise her due to drug and alcohol addiction, I felt that I wanted to somehow help other women facing difficult situations. The Sisters welcomed me and showed me how, with love and gentle guidance, anyone can turn their life around. I'm always inspired by the women of Gracenter with their perseverance, support and honesty about the road to a better and healthier life. I encourage anyone, who wants to help women, who want to help themselves, to come take a tour of Gracenter and see the wonderful work that is being done, everyday, in the Portola District of San Francisco. Honestly, I don't know if there is a better program to support a change in lifestyle. If only we could make it tens times bigger, so we could help ten times more women and families....what do you say? Let's try!!
