Review for The Buddy Program Inc, Aspen, CO, USA
The Buddy Program has expanded and evolved to serve over 300 youth throughout the Roaring Fork Valley. As a Big Buddy of over 9 years to 2 kids, I have seen the growth kids make with a positive influence at their side- The Buddy Program facilitates that process by providing a variety of free activities to share and experience with a child in need. This program services kids of low income families- one of whose parents is often absent from their lives. A professional staff maintains contact throughout the term of the relationship, while offering counseling services when situations arise that may require additional support. I hear constantly about the impact of mentoring and find it very rewarding. This program has brought together many outstanding individuals with whom I am proud to be associated.

many different ways. I volunteer on the Board of Directors to recruit new Big Buddies. I serve as a Big Buddy by spending time about once a week with my Little Buddy. He has become a more confident individual through the sports we share.

the many people who also share a passion for mentoring. The extensive activities offered are things I like to do even when I am not being a Big Buddy.
