I am a University professor at Houston Baptist University. I have attended several Houston Ballet workshops for teachers on how to integrate dance and the other arts with other subjects in the curriculum. The presenters always have been so engaging, well prepared and available for questions and resources . This is one area that sometimes goes unseen since it is not a performing event, but is so valuable for training both pre-service and in-service art and general educators, The ballet performances for schools are an invaluable way to create interest in dance and see how through the arts we can create meaning in life . I want to thank and encourage people and institutions who sponsor the Houston Ballet Foundation for their contribution to make Houston a better place to live and enjoy what dance and the other arts offer to enhance our lives.
