I have learnt about the Malawi Project from 2002. I have volunteered with Malawi project in Malawi and have witnessed their efforts making a very big impact in (1) Health, (2) Agriculture and Food Security (3) Education and General Humanitarian Assistance.

What has touched me more is the approach employed by the Malawi Project where it involves the locals in development work. That's empowering them. No dependence!

For example, The Malawi Project has worked jointly with locals in construction of Grain Storage buildings. Local people contributed labor, materials and the Malawi Project contributed resources to ensure people have better food storage facilities that can aid food security at community level. That will have big impact to thousands of poor families and cut the famine cycle that is contributed by lack of storage facilities that cause deterioration.
