In 2013 my coworker handed me a phone number to call when she saw me crying in my office one day. She told me it would help me to escape an abusive relationship in which I felt dangerously trapped. So the next afternoon I called the number for HopeWorks and was very surprised when the counselor immediately informed me, how I could be safe that very day, and told me they truly cared about my safety in the most personal way and would match me with a counselor who specifically fit my needs. I went for my first appointment only a few days later and the cost was relative to my very limited income. I have revisited Hopeworks on several occasions over the years and can honestly say they saved my life. My eyes and heart now perceive life's challenges in a healthy and strong way. I am forever grateful to my counselor Amy and her team which has generously given me HOPE for my future.
