I had the pleasure of chaperoning the 5th grade class from Stearns Elementary school, who were fortunate enough to be gifted with an awesome experience of a day at Ramblewild in Lanesboro, MA. For many of the students, this was their first time at this amazing aerial park. The day was simply the best; from the excited chattering of the students on the bus trip up there, to the awe and amazement of the first practice round! By far, the best part of this day was the giggling heard throughout the forest, along with the supportive cheering of classmates working together and “having the time of their lives!.” Students were able to work together to accomplish the different courses and push themselves out of their comfort zones, to experience a day like no other. In an age where technology is King, getting back to the basics of outdoor activity and student to student collaboration and teamwork, is something that just can’t be taught in the classroom. This class felt extremely honored to be provided with the Fernoia Forward Scholarship and embraced all that the day had to offer. The staff was amazing and supportive and the day was filled with these students feeling a sense of accomplishment. Thank you for this once in a lifetime experience from a proud mom of not only my own children, but their amazing friends who truly lived this day to the fullest!
