Review for West Valley Community Services, Cupertino, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I can honestly say that I LOVE volunteering at West Valley Community Services! The staff is so very supportive of its volunteers. Dignity, respect, integrity and compassion drive the efforts at WVCS each and everyday. I have witnessed first hand the life changing impact that WVCS has on its community members who so desperately need help. WVCS has been a guiding light in our greater community for 50 years and I am proud to be a part of such an impactful organization. Here's to 50 more amazing years!!!

Nancy H. I have been a volunteer at West Valley Community Services for over 6 years. It is an honor to work with such a dedicated staff that operates within the core values of the agency in all that they do for the community. WVCS is the "go to" agency to provide food, resources and services for the 7 zip codes in in its service area. The clients are treated with dignity and respect. Guided by the Board leadership, the staff and volunteers work hard to meet the needs of the struggling folks in the community--they are all truly front-line heroes! WVCS you are a role model! Thank you for all that you do to make this world a better place!

I have been a volunteer in the Food Pantry at West Valley Community Services for over 4 years. Our mission is to unite the community in the fight against hunger and homelessness. I see this mission in action each time I am at WVCS. During my shift, I work one-on-one with approximately 30 clients who come to us for food. Our pantry model is based on dignity, respect and compassion. Each client "shops" in the pantry and chooses from the donated food that works best for them and their families. The local food vendors, farmers' markets, food distribution agencies and other generous donors are helping make a difference in the lives of families and individuals who are struggling to make ends meet and barely stay afloat. It is inspiring to be part of a community that cares. This is only one of many life-changing services that WVCS provides year round.
