In the middle of a complex, highly charged emotional and political struggle are the lives of thousands of wild horses, and thousands of acres of wild land. At the heart of that is Wild Love Preserve, working with unflagging commitment to protect the animals and the land in a way that brings people together instead of driving them further apart. I met Andrea Maki at the beginning of her journey, after she had made a promise to a group of captive wild horses that she was going to create a better way. Andrea's fortitude, compassion, dedication and creativity in the face of adversity are charting that course - for the horses, for all of us.
