I recently became a volunteer with this organization. The time and effort that the founder of the organization, Susan Kayne, puts forth for the benefit of the horses is astounding and impressive!
She has saved so many horses from the killpen who were in such horrible condition and brought them back to life, not only physically, but emotionally able to start enjoying life again as a horse. You can't believe your eyes when you see these horses today and look at pictures of them when Susan got them.
She tries to match the horses up to potential adopters in a situation that is best for each horse as well as the adopter.
I am so glad that her organization exists because these horses would have gone to slaughter instead of living their life now, free of pain and fear.
