My first introduction to Minnie's Food Pantry was through collaboration between a Business Resource Group at my employer Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas and Minnie's. One of the first things that I noticed about Minnie's was the positive energy that I felt when I was there. The staff had extremely positive attitudes and energy when they talked about their work as well as when they worked with or trained volunteers. The volunteers fed off the energy from the staff and it created a virtuous circle in terms of positive energy. I have been very fortunate to have an opportunity to volunteer with Minnie's several times since 2017. My most recent volunteer event was Friday October 5, 2018 and while Minnie's has expanded the scope of their work in the community they still exhibit the same positive energy in all that they do. It has been a pleasure every time I have volunteered at Minnie's.
