My Nonprofit Reviews

I started a non-profit organization to reach out to new families in our county, with absolutely zero experience in this realm. I hadn't even been on a Board, let alone run one.
It was a tremendous learning curve - great idea, but where to begin. Fortunately, I was able to attend several excellent, immediately helpful workshops provided by the Nonprofit Center of the Berkshires, Inc.
The support I received and the contacts I made were of immeasurable value.
In our second year, we earned an Excellence Award from the Massachusetts Nonprofit Network, in the "Small Nonprofit: Doing More with Less" category. We also received official citations from our Governor, Speaker of the House and our State Representative.
The Nonprofit Center had a huge impact in our success, and by the end of our 5th year, we had facilitated training workshops for new parents and provided essential items to over 1,000 families in our county.

We were very fortunate to connect with the Nonprofit Center of the Berkshires early on. The guidance they provided was invaluable, as were the introductions, workshops and support. As a member, we have been alerted to grant opportunities and potential awards. They have helped promote our cause in Berkshire County, and facilitated some major recognition. We are a small non-profit, with no previous experience in this realm and their support was key in expediting our learning curve!
