The Nonprofit Center of the Berkshires has quickly become an indispensable resource for both non-profit organizations and donors.
The annual “Giving Back” guide highlights the work of member organizations and gives donors and volunteers a way to learn about them.
This year, NPC organized the first nonprofit award breakfast to recognize the efforts of the people who make these worthy organizations run. Nominees and winner were honored in the following categories: Executive Leadership, Unsung Hero, Board Member, Volunteer, Super Staffer and Rising Star.
The NPC also provides a program of educational workshop opportunities for directors, board members and volunteer leaders. A nonprofit “Boot Camp” was offered , covering the basics including governance, finance, fundraising, legal, and best practices.
NPC taps broad knowledge of the makeup of Berkshire County, as well as the inner working of non-profit organizations. I would highly recommend the NPC as a first stop for anyone who runs or is starting a nonprofit, as well as donors.
