Review for Himalayan Children's Charities Inc, Atlanta, GA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I have been a part of HCC since 2004. I am currently studying Masters in Business Administration and working as an Administration & Finance Officer in HCC Nepal. I am glad to be associated with HCC for 14 years now. HCC has been family for so many children, changing each of the children’s lives by empowering them with good educational facilities and with a family environment. Not all the children in Nepal are fortunate enough to be raised by their own family and find themselves far away due to the various circumstances like the family’s weak economic condition, separation of the parents, semi-orphan hood, and so on. HCC has considered the scenarios of Nepal and vowed to help the underprivileged children. The children need a guardian whom they can look up to as a role model, spend time with, learn the etiquettes of society, and adapt to the family environment. HCC has been contributing all these through the love, support, and guidance from the people here in Nepal and the supporters around the globe. The life skills that the students learn through the mentorship program, living in a home together and learning to cook and clean, celebrations of festivals, etc. has helped to make the students sociable.

The work that I do here in Nepal has made me proud of all the accomplishment that I have achieved and that I am able to inspire people. When I meet the students from the villages, seeing a smile on their face makes me happy. The social prestige and being recognized for the work that I do now is valuable to me. HCC is producing capable young leaders who undoubtedly can bring a remarkable change in the nation. Thanks for all the supporters in and outside the country who have helped to make HCC’s remarkable work possible.
