I joined the board of ConnecTeach last year. I was impressed by the goal of the organization and knew the head of the organization from our prior relationship in education. The program operates on a very lean budget, but has a far-ranging reach because of its focus on teachers. I also think focusing on communities with few resources and on women empowerment has the greatest potential for meaningful change.
