ABRACE is very important to the Brazilian community and American-Brazilian families living in the states of DC-MD-VA because it is the only organization in this area that teaches Brazilian Portuguese language and culture. The impact of ABRACE in our lives goes beyond the "knowledge" about Brazilian language and culture, it creates, especially in young people a sense of identity and belonging that help shape their character for life.
