Review for Doxie Rescue of Bucks County & NJ, Morrisville, PA, USA
I have the opportunity to be both a volunteer and a client of DRBC. I started out by fostering the dogs turned in, and ended up adopting one as well! The process was so rewarding. To view the impact that their tireless efforts have on these dog, one could simply look at the dogs and their new home and lives. The medical care that these pups receive is superior. When they come in, they are soothed with a warm bath and checked over thoroughly. Blood work and testing, and sometimes medical care follows that. Then they go to a foster family where they are given love...and in some cases it’s the first time that they are receiving that. The pups are monitored to see how they are doing and what their personalities are like. And only then, when they are healthy and ready to move on, are they permitted to be shown at meet and greets with perspective adopters. It has been a privilege and so humbling to be a part of such a great group. These people are selfless and have only the dogs’ best interest at heart. I wish everyone could experience the gift of being a foster...especially with a group that cares so very much for these dogs.
