Review for Rose Kennedy Greenway Conservancy, Boston, MA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

The Rose Kennedy Greenway park is the link that Boston needed between downtown and the waters edge. I've lived in Dorchester for 25 years now and watched the Greenway literally blossom into the thriving greenspace that it is today. I encourage visitors to start their city exploration walking the Greenway since there are so many connecting points to other city areas (North End, Seaport, Business District, Fanueil Hall, Haymarket, Chinatown). I've enjoyed volunteering and attending events that the Greenway offers throughout the year. When I need a city fix I'll take the T to South Station and stroll down to the North End, visit the Saturday market, or get lunch at a food truck, or grab a cider at Dewey Square. The flora and fauna changes with the seasons and I enjoy documenting it as a volunteer photographer. The art installations over the years have been wonderful, my favorite being the aerial sculpture near India Wharf a few years back, but the Harbor Fog installation is always fun to take in. I took my kids to the Rings fountain when they were young and they loved playing on the grass and in the fountains in the North End. I can't say enough about what a gem this park is in Boston!
