Review for Planting People Growing Justice Leadership Institute, Saint Paul, MN, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I do work in Senchi Ferry, Ghana, West Africa. Fortunately, Dr Tyner's organization PPGJLI has visited our library and recognized that we had no books representing children of color. For that reason, she has been exceptionally kind and donated many of her books. As a result, the number of children, students and local schools are visiting the library in large numbers as they are more interested in reading when they see themselves represented. The learning has improved greatly. We could not be more grateful to Dr Tyner for her generosity and helping us promote reading and learning in this rural poor community. Her books are excellent and continue to draw students every day. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

Review for Global Volunteers, St. Paul, MN, USA

Rating: 5 stars

For the past twenty years, I have been spending two weeks of my vacation time volunteering with Global Volunteers in countries around the world. I have traveled with Global Volunteers because I believe in their philosophy of service, know that I will be safe and know that I am making a difference in someone's life. The feelings that I have in my heart when I return from one of these special trips sustains me throughout the rest of the year. Volunteer vacations is the perfect balance of exotic travel, intimate involvement with the communities you visit, making new friends and making the world a better place for all of us. I encourage others to consider this way of being of service. It will transform your life!

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

continue to do more of the exceptional work that they do around the world therefore making even more of a difference than they already do. There are unlimited opportunities to be of service as there are so many communities in need across the world.
