I first became acquainted with AWLA in 2004 when my husband and I were looking for a cat. We went back many times until the cutest kitty chose us by wrapping its paws around my arm. We were so impressed with the Alexandria shelter. It was so clean, it didn’t smell, the staff and volunteers were so knowledgeable and kind.
Fast forward...our wonderful cat “Miss Ella” is now fourteen years old and I have been a cat volunteer almost as long. We love AWLA!!! Joan W.
