Review for The Sato Project, Brooklyn, NY, USA
I can't say enough good things about my adoption through The Sato Project. Their mission is to ensure they match an owner with the right dog. The Sato Project rescues dogs from Puerto Rico. I saw a picture of "Mila" (now Rosie) and knew right away she was the dog for me. She was rescued from the streets a few weeks after Hurricane Maria hit. She was suffering severe injuries after being attacked by a pack of dogs. I filled out a form and was contacted that day with a few questions about what I was looking for in a dog and questions about my schedule, who lives in my home and other questions you would expect to be asked. I then had a phone call with Luanne who asked a few more questions and said it sounded like we would be a great match. I had a home visit and then was approved! The people at The Sato Project truly care about the welfare of their dogs and do all they can up front in the process to ensure both the adopter and the dog will be happy. They have a Facebook group for adopters for questions, posting pictures, announcing get togethers and sharing tips It is a very active and friendly group. I love, love, love my Sato dog, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking to adopt a puppy or older dog.
