A friend of mine adopted a Sato a few years back but had been sharing posts and stories even before that I have been following. For some reason, this group really touched my heart.

I am a firm believer in “adopt, don’t shop” and in the fact that every dog rescued actually saves at least 2 by making room for another.

I had wanted a second dog for a long time. I always scroll through rescue sites and dreamed of another dog but it’s all in timing and perseverance. One day scrolling through Facebook and seeing the Sato Project post of Bear totally got me in the feels and I just knew that he was the one and immediately fell in love. I did everything in my power to make our home his forever home.

As I sit here watching him sprawled out on his back with belly up (totally comfortable and trusting) next to our other rescue dog on our bed, I know we somehow found each other and made it happen. He is a love (he even has a heart on his head as proof) and I thank the Sato Project for seeing the good in bad situations and starting these pups on the right path to forever happy homes.

They are such a deserving group.
