I was told by a friend that she went to this place with wild cats. So I decided I was going to visit on a Twilight tour. This was 8 yrs ago it was dirt roads, long walk but seeing the cats was so special. I fell in love with it, great place for all to get educated on Exotic wild cats, they are for the wild not living in someone's home, small cages or on road side zoos. They have a wonderful forever home, the best care that they need . I became an Adoptive Parent first time to Bobcat named Collins, got trained to treat and feed him so I could visit at least twice a month .I seemed to adopt older cats I was there when they passed, Caracals/ Mary Stewart , Bandit, Electra, Serval/ Hobie, gone but never forgotten. My present adoptive cat is Bobcat/Ranger. A photo of me giving him a drumstick but only if he gets off the fence! He did. One of him in his tower.
Loved visits they seem to remember you, all came to greet me with their chuffles (tigers) sit talk to them cool weather is the best nice breeze, sometimes see them in their pools or playing with big plastic balls.
The sanctuary has done some great updates on fences, cats houses, platforms to climb or lay in the sun. Get great veterinarian to handle all their needs. Visit when you can be a great day of fun and facts.
Remember "Pet tabbies not Tigers" Visit find out why!

My first visit was in 2014 for a Twilight Tour, I fell in love with the animals and all volunteers, people that take care of all the animals. The Lions Roman/Reina/Reba/Sebastian/Tarzan all sound off with their roars back and forth. To hear all the animals stories of how they came there is heart wrenching, so happy they are all living their remaining life at CTR now, that I can be a part of. All ages would benefit doing a tour, finding out the truth of these animals are not to be pet, or used as entertainment, or profit from there abuse. I have been an adoptive parent since Oct 2014, when I adopted Collins, a bobcat. also Mary Stewart/Bandit caracals, and last but not least Hobie a serval. I love visiting all the animals, letting all I know abut CTR and the passion I have for them. They are a great part of my life. I have loved and lost 3 out of 4 and plan to adopt another. So please take a day to come see these adorable wild cats, Open your eyes to the wild you won't be disappointed.
