Review for Camp Sunshine at Sebago Lake Inc, Casco, ME, USA
I have been volunteering at Camp Sunshine since 2001. I am constantly motivated to return to Camp to help give the families who pass through the 3 yellow doors a unique experience. It's truly a retreat and respite from their routines that include doctors, clinics, scans, medications. At Camp Sunshine, the whole family gets to disconnect from that life to connect with others who are experiencing a similar experience in the childhood disease world. The love and the depth of connection is apparent from the first moment you enter campus. The staff and volunteers are readily available to meet the needs of the family, ensuring all members are able to relax and enjoy their experience at Camp. It is a truely special place and I can't recommend it highly enough.
