Review for Alliance For International Women's Rights, , WA, USA
Even through the COVID-19 crisis, AIWR provided my mentee and I support and resources to maintain our connection and keep classes going. In a time of local and international isolation, the weekly Skype sessions are a productive, engaging part of my week I deeply look forward to. The professional development is rewarding, but the personal connection and level of satisfaction in forming relationships with motivated, inspiring women across the globe is what's kept me engaged each month for going on 2 years. Highly recommend.

Volunteering with AIWR is interesting and engaging - I've made new professional women colleagues in Afghanistan and become more aware of women's rights issues and access to legal careers in the region, while supporting my mentee - a woman law professor of human rights - in publishing her novel journal article about the rapidly developing commercial dispute resolution landscape in the country. Positive interactions and substantive volunteer work, it's a rewarding experience that develops everyone involved to a higher level.
