I connected with CommunityGrows through the AmeriCorps program and have worked with them for over a year now to help develop their volunteer opportunities and network. It has been so rewarding to see people from the community, local universities, and partner programs come together to cultivate and care for the gardens and to support the students in the different programs. Initially I was drawn to their mission of connecting kids with green spaces and teaching students about nutrition and the environment, but my love for the organization has grown from there. It is so wonderful to be involved with an organization whose staff, partners, and volunteers care so much about the work that they do and the people they connect with -- thank you to CommunityGrows and everyone who supports their work!
