I've been a supporter of the VFW National Home for Children for years as they provide support to orphans and kids whose care plan fell apart during deployments.

Unlike foster care, kids are allowed to visit Home from college so they continue to have a support network.

In the past few years families are eligible for support, this means a Veteran that wants to go back to school can live in a residence with his family and have help to keep his family together while attending school.
