Review for The National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Washington, DC, USA

Rating: 5 stars

NSCS has been one of the absolute greatest experiences of my college career. Through this organization, I have have been given so many amazing opportunities to meet new people, gain valuable leadership skills, and network and make connections both on and off campus. The spring of my freshman year, I joined NSCS and got involved right away. I was able to participate in annual community service event at my school, and at the end of the year I was elected VP of Community Service for our chapter. After serving in this position for one year, I had the opportunity to take over as Chapter President. I learned so many invaluable skills in my time as President and made some great connections with our advisor and other NSCS members. After serving as President, I decided to apply to be on the NSCS National Leadership Council. I am now currently a member of the 2018-2019 NLC and it has been such an amazing experience already! The opportunities like these that NSCS provides for its members is what makes it such a great organization to be a part of. In addition to all that, the organization has some other great perks that make joining worth every penny. There are tons of scholarships to apply for through NSCS, lots of benefits that save you money on things like hotels, rental cars, school supplies, etc., and many local chapters provide rewards and incentives for active members. All in all, NSCS is one of the best experiences I have had in college, and I highly recommend those looking for a well-rounded organization to get involved in to join NSCS.
