We have volunteered at Shanti Bhavan annually for more than 10 years. We keep returning because the ethos of Shanti Bhavan leads to long-term positive changes in these children, and these changes reverberate through their families and their communities. We have been privileged to watch cohorts of children develop into responsible multi-talented adults - articulate, academic, athletic, musical young people, with solid values and an ethic of care for their fellow human beings.

Shanti Bhavan is unique because it is the only organisation in the world that provides a world class education for children from aged 4 until the graduate from university. We have volunteered there for a month every year for ten years. The children are bright, curious, respectful and determined to make the world a better place. Those who have graduated from college and are now working are intent on pulling their families and their communities out of poverty. Every cent you donate multiplies in impact - this school wastes nothing.

We have volunteered at Shanti Bhavan School countless times since 2010. We keep going back for a range of reasons. The children are bright, energetic, and determined to uplift their families from poverty - so we feel our contribution can have long term effects. The volunteers are fun to be with because the school is well organised and selects and supports its volunteers well. The school has an excellent vision. Volunteers work hard but the rewards are well worth it.
