This ministry has been a godsend to me. I attended my own weekend (Kairos Outside) as a guest in 2017 after my son was incarcerated. I truly experienced God's love through the volunteers on that weekend. For the first time since my son's incarceration, I didn't feel ashamed & sad. The volunteers helped me to understand that I am special & loved by God. Because this ministry means so much to me, I wanted to give back... So, I have now had the opportunity to serve as a volunteer on a Kairos Outside team & a Kairos Inside Team. I have experienced lives transformed through this ministry! AMEN!

After my son was incarcerated, I was filled with shame. I felt like the world was judging me & I couldn't show my face. When I attended a Kairos Outside weekend (a weekend they sponsor for female family members whose loved ones are incarcerated) it was the first time I felt loved and accepted. The volunteers went out of their way to create a non-judgmental place where we could feel God's love wrapped around us. I was able to lay everything down at the foot of the cross that weekend & came to know the depth of God's love & grace for both me & my son. That weekend changed my life, and I am forever grateful for this ministry.
