Review for Rottweiler Hearts Rescue, Chapel Hill, NC, USA
Rottweiler Hearts Rescue is a wonderful rescue. They are a small group but do so much to help as many dogs ass they can. They have a wonderful loving group of volunteers who go above and beyond. I have fostered and helped with transport.

This is an amazing rescue with a wonderful group of volunteers. Samira, picture below, was one of the transports I was able to help with. When I saw the emergency transport request one night, you could tell by the picture the girl was emaciated. I wasn't sure if Rottweiler Hearts Rescue would be able to find enough people to cover transport from Winnsboro to VA on short notice but RHR volunteers rose like champians to help this girl. It wasn't until I picked Samira up at the shelter the next morning that I saw just how emaciated she actually was. I don't think this girl had much/if any muscle left. You could see and feel almost every bone from head to toe. I doubt she would have lasted much longer if animal control had not stepped in. It broke my heart to see her that way. Even after the way her 'caregiver' cared for her or better yet lacked to give her any care; she was still the sweetest little girl ever. The entire way from the shelter to Salisbury, all she wanted was for me to pet/rub her. It melts my heart to see after everything she went through, all she wants is love.
Rottweiler Hearts Rescue took in this sweet girl to help get her back to being healthy. Not only was this girl emaciated but she was also heartworm positive. She is now in a loving foster home, putting on weight and learning what it's like to be in a loving home. This may not be a large rescue but there hearts are as big as I've ever seen. They love this breed and do all they can to help save as many as they can.

Wonderful people who care about finding the right fit for both you and the dog. Very knowledgeable about the breed.
Review for German Shepherd Dog Rescue and Adoption Service, Fuquay Varina, NC, USA
I've been a volunteer since 2013. After loosing one of my fur-babies, I wanted to foster to honor his memory and all the love he gave. After searching the internet, I found German Shepherd Rescue and Adoption. I loved their process and their dedication to the dogs. I knew this was the rescue I wanted to be part of. They have the most dedicated group of volunteers who are committed to helping dogs in need. They don't shy away from medical issues, seniors or mixes. Once a dog becomes part of GSRA, they are committed to helping them in anyway possible. They have a detailed application process to ensure the dogs will go into loving homes. It has never been about how many dogs they adopt but finding the right match for both the family and dog. I feel both honored and blessed to be part of this wonderful rescue.
