On September 25th, 2011 my life changed forever. I was shot in the abdomen during a combat operation in Afghanistan while serving as a Green Beret. My injuries were severe, fractured hip, 20% of my colon removed, partially paralyzed left leg due to nerve damage. I underwent six surgeries to repair the damage which have left me with over 40 inches of scars. From day 1 the GBF was there for my family and I. there is no doubt that there unfailing support is one of the reasons why my recovery went so well. Seven years later I am proud to give back to the Foundation and the Green Berets as a GBF Ambassador.
